Chloe and Daddy making cookies together!

So we've had a good, and busy weekend. Friday night we didn't go to Olive Garden cuz of course it was way too busy, so we ended up at TGIFriday's where we used our Friday's card to get a free appetizer - asian potstickers, which were 'low-fat' supposedly! And our dinners were good and our food came super fast which was awesome, since then we were able to run to a few stores afterward... Like Home Depot & Menards (gotta love 'date night' with my husband!) and we think we've finally decided on the countertop we're going to get - the guy Chris knows is coming Tuesday to draw up a template and then he'll install it on Friday. How exciting! Anyway, we also went to Babies 'R Us to look at car seats, but we'd forgotten the $10 off coupon so we couldn't buy it... but we figured we'd just buy it on Saturday when Chris' mom watched the girls. We ended the night by going through the drive-thru at Tim Hortons and getting a box of donut holes otherwise called "timbits" - YUM! :) Anyway, it was a fun night for us!
On Saturday Chris decided he didn't feel like running any 'work-related errands' like he usually does, so we had a fun day as a family. We packed up the girls and went to Michael's in the morning to get some cool things to hang on the wall. Maya fell asleep during our shopping so we just had to deal with Chloe wanting to run all over the store & throw tantrums. We spent $40 and got some awesome things... once we hang them I'll have to take pics and post them! It was so fun!
Then we all got good naps in the afternoon and called to see if we could drop off the girls and do our Babies 'R Us shopping and Chris' Mom no longer wanted to watch the girls. So we were stuck taking them with us to the crazy store which is always insane, since there is so much baby stuff & toys, Chloe wants to go nuts and get into everything... so it's never a fun time to take them to that store, but we got a huge mega box of diapers and some wipes and bought the $100 car seat and called it a day.
So we've had a productive weekend.. And we've spent lots of money in the process...It's time to put the girls to bed now...
